Evan Glass has been a dedicated public servant for Montgomery County for over 25 years. Currently serving his second term as an At-Large member of the Montgomery County Council, he made history in 2018 as the first openly gay man elected to the Council. His legislative accomplishments include passage of the Montgomery County Pay Equity Act, the Housing Justice Act, the Make Office Vacancy Extinct Act, the LGBTQ+ Bill of Rights, the Safe Streets Act, and the Suicide Awareness and Firearm Education Act. He also led the initiative to make public buses fare free, expanded food composting programs, and added two new Council districts through a charter amendment.

As Field Director, you'll be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the campaign's comprehensive field strategy. Your responsibilities will include:
Managing, developing, and building campaign meet and greets and other events. This is the core component of the role.
Recruit, hire, train, and manage interns, fellows, and volunteer leaders
Build and maintain metrics-driven voter contact programs (door-to-door canvassing, phone banking, text banking)
Build relationships with local leaders, activists, and community organizations to expand the campaign's reach
Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the campaign manager
Required Qualifications:
At least one cycle of campaign experience, ideally with at least one cycle in a field management or leadership role (e.g., Field Director, Regional Organizing Director, Call Time Manager, etc.)
Advanced proficiency with VAN/VoteBuilder, including list building, universe creation, event setup, user permissions, and analytics
Experience with Excel/Google Sheets and campaign communication tools (e.g., Slack, Mobilize, Reach)
Exceptional organizational, communication, and time-management skills
Valid driver's license and reliable access to a vehicle
Willingness to work long, irregular hours—including evenings and weekends—through Election Day
