Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Field Organizer for Ahsha Safai’s Mayoral Campaign in San Francisco. The Field Organizer will play a crucial role in mobilizing volunteers, engaging with the community, and executing the campaign's grassroots efforts to ensure success in the upcoming election.
Responsibilities:
Community Engagement (i.e; Merchant Walks and Meets and Greets):
Build and maintain relationships with community organizations, local leaders, and stakeholders.
Represent the campaign at community events, forums, and meetings to promote the candidate's platform and garner support.
Volunteer Recruitment and Management:
Recruit, train, and manage a team of volunteers to participate in various campaign activities such as canvassing, phone banking, and voter outreach.
Develop and implement strategies to expand the volunteer base and ensure active participation throughout the campaign.
Canvassing and Voter Outreach:
Coordinate canvassing operations in targeted neighborhoods to identify and engage with voters.
Develop scripts and talking points for volunteers to effectively communicate the campaign's message and gather voter data.
Track canvassing results and voter feedback to inform campaign strategy.
Phone Banking:
Organize phone banking events and provide training to volunteers on phone banking techniques.
Oversee the execution of phone banking operations to reach out to voters, answer questions, and encourage support for the candidate.
Event Coordination:
Plan and execute campaign events, including rallies, town halls, and community meetings.
Coordinate logistics, secure venues, and manage outreach to ensure maximum attendance and engagement.
Data Management:
Utilize campaign technology tools to manage voter data, track volunteer activities, and monitor progress towards campaign goals.
Ensure data accuracy and compliance with campaign regulations and guidelines.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in political organizing, community outreach, or campaign work preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with San Francisco politics and communities is a plus.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
