About The Outreach Team
The Outreach Team is a premier national field firm. We partner with organizations working to solve some of the biggest problems facing our society -- from protecting human rights to fighting climate change -- and help them build the resources they need to make an impact. We are a people-powered enterprise; our campaigns are effective because we hire diverse teams of talented people, invest in our staff, and treat them well.
New York is a central battleground in the effort to control Congress this year. That’s why we're working on behalf of Battleground New York, a new coalition of New York’s leading organizations, unions, and movements, representing New Yorkers from all walks of life. Our campaign with Battleground New York will register thousands of people to vote in key congressional districts, and make sure their voices are heard in this year’s critical elections.
We are hiring Field Directors to manage our office on Long Island, NY. Directors will recruit, train, and manage a team of canvassers to collect voter registrations in highly trafficked areas. Field Directors will build an office to scale from the ground up, training canvassers in the field and leading by example; they must communicate long- and short-term goals to staff, manage campaign scheduling and reporting, and oversee a strict Quality Control process to ensure our registration drive is of the highest quality.
Registering voters is an essential first step to ensuring elected officials reflect the diversity and priorities of the communities they serve. Too often people who are invested in their communities face barriers to political participation. We’ll engage with unregistered voters in busy areas and take them through the process to register to vote. Through our work, we will provide access for thousands of voters in New York to register to vote and cast their vote later this election cycle.
We are hiring immediately. This position will initially run through the middle of August, with opportunities to extend through Election Day and beyond.
