Rep. Lindsey Prather’s campaign for re-election to the North Carolina House of Representatives is hiring a Field Director to manage voter contact and volunteer recruitment efforts in NC House District 115. This is a temporary full-time position through November 2024.
Responsibilities will include:
Recruiting, training, and mobilizing groups of volunteers on voter contact methods such as canvassing, voter registration, and phone banking.
Planning and executing organizing actions, events, and trainings.
Developing relationships with Democratic activists in the community and engaging them in field and virtual events and activities.
Ensuring all voter contact and volunteer engagement data is tracked in VAN and updated daily.
Other duties as assigned.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
Ability to prioritize and effectively manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Must have your own reliable transportation with a valid driver’s license.
Previous campaign or political experience strongly preferred.
Familiarity with VAN, Mobilize, and other field organizing tools preferred.
Buncombe County / Western NC ties preferred.
Compensation and Working Conditions:
The salary for this position is $4,000/month, plus employer-paid benefits through November 30th, 2024.
Position starts May 1st. Work hours will vary and include weekends.
