Employment Opportunity: Field Director

Location: 28th Legislative District

Compensation: Depending on experience, $3500-$4500 per month

Hours: full-time, some weekend and evening work required

Job Description:  

We seek highly motivated, committed, and teamwork-oriented field directors for State Senate campaigns. This year will be highly contested and this race will be one of the top priorities for the legislature statewide. The Field Director will be responsible for executing a winning field program and all field operations of the campaign across the designated legislative district.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage robust field program that includes traditional forms of direct voter contact such as canvassing (doorbelling), phone-banking, text-banking, and volunteer recruitment and retention. Field Manager will manage a team of field staff, interns, and volunteers in addition to participating in direct voter contact efforts.

  • Execute winning campaign plan, including coordinating outreach and relationships with partner campaigns, working with WSDC and team of consultants to implement paid voter contact plans, and other duties as assigned.

  • Community outreach, organizing volunteers for community events, and attending events as a campaign surrogate.

 

Qualifications: 

  • Previous campaign experience is useful but not required. Familiarity with state legislative campaigns and districts is a bonus.

  • Excellent verbal communication skills.

  • Comfortable participating in traditional forms of voter contact, including canvassing and phone-banking.

  • Ability to work in a high-stress environment, under tight campaign deadlines.

  • Capacity to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

  • A valid driver’s license and reliable access to a vehicle.
