About the Campaign:
Join the fight to protect an incumbent Supervisor from a recall in San Francisco’s most contested political fight of 2025. This campaign is mobilizing neighbors, building a people-powered ground game, and standing up for the future of our city.
Position Overview:
We’re seeking a Field Director to help lead our campaign’s voter contact operation on a campaign that will be very focused on the ground game. This person will play a key leadership role in executing a field program aimed at engaging voters door-to-door and ensuring high turnout against the recall. You’ll collaborate closely with the Campaign Manager, Field Organizers, volunteers, and partner organizations to implement and adapt our field plan in real time. This is a great opportunity for experienced Organizers or Field directors to level up their skills and break into San Francisco politics. We are looking for an organizer at heart who is great with people and willing to do the work required to recruit volunteers and win.
Key Responsibilities:
Execute all aspects of the campaign’s field plan in conjunction with the Campaign Manager
Recruit, train, and manage a team of canvassers and volunteers to hit ambitious voter contact goals
Manage turf assignments, daily metrics tracking, and quality control systems
Ensure accurate and timely reporting of field performance
Run weekly canvass events, leading trainings for volunteers, often on the weekends
Represent the campaign in coalition spaces and other events, and staff the Supervisor as needed
Manage and execute a GOTV plan
Qualifications:
At least ** 2 campaign cycles** of experience in any role preferred
Preference will be given to candidates with past experience as a Field Director or Campaign Manager
Demonstrated ability to manage canvassing operations
Demonstrated ability to handle volunteer recruitment and training
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate volunteers and staff
Familiarity with voter contact tools like PDI, VAN, or similar platforms
