Kristian Carranza for TX HD-118 is looking for a full time Field Director to join our team for the 2024 election cycle. Kristian Carranza is a community organizer born and raised on the Southside of San Antonio, where she is now running to flip the most competitive seat in the Texas House. Ideal candidates will have exceptional organizational management skills with a background in electoral organizing, be able to execute a results-driven field program, analyze and communicate key voter contact data and metrics, have a positive attitude, be a team player, and thrive in an ever-changing environment. This is a full-time, salaried, cycle-based position located in San Antonio, Texas.
Job Responsibilities include:
Design and implement a strong organizing plan
Supervise field organizers and interns throughout the election cycle while implementing clear benchmark and accountability measures
Build local grassroots volunteer teams that will engage in direct voter contact, volunteer recruitment, and retention
Working with the campaign manager, the caucus, and partners to analyze data and track progress on field metrics
Manage paid canvassing operations (if necessary)
Manage and report key field metrics to campaign team and other external partners
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications for this role include:
At least 1 cycle of relevant community or political organizing experience
Proficient in voter database systems such as VAN, in addition to G-Suite, Excel, Microsoft Word, and Zoom
A self-motivated, team player with a proven track record of meeting goals and deadlines with an ability to adapt to changing circumstances
Experience working with diverse teams representing a rich mix of talent, backgrounds and perspectives
Willingness to collaborate in a team environment to solve complex problems and work across departments when necessary to meet long term goals
Ability to balance between competing tasks in a fast-paced, demanding environment while maintaining exceptional organization and attention to detail
Must have reliable transportation, a cell phone, and a laptop
Willingness to work irregular hours including nights and weekends
Salary Range:$4,500-$5k/month, depending on experience.
