Position Summary:
Jack for NY is hiring Field Organizers that will play a key role in building grassroots support, engaging with voters, and driving the success of the campaign’s field operations. This position is ideal for a highly-motivated, outgoing individual interested in electoral campaign work and people with the ability to adapt to new situations in a fast paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruit, train, and manage volunteers to support the campaign’s voter outreach efforts in door-to-door canvassing, street canvassing, phone banking, text banking, postering, and other direct voter contact activities
Track and report voter engagement metrics
Represent the campaign as needed for public events and volunteer canvasses
Foster a positive and inclusive team culture to retain volunteers, sustain engagement, and build volunteer leaders that can operate independently
Qualifications and Requirements:
At least 1 cycle of campaign or community organizing experience (Petition and door to door canvassing experience preferred)
Registered Democrat in NY State
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire volunteers
Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
Familiarity with voter contact tools (e.g., VAN, Mobilize, NGP, Scale to Win)
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Willing to work long hours, including evenings and weekends
A passion for democratic politics and electoral organizing
Job Details:
Salary: $6,000 a month
Hours: 40-50 Hours a Week - 6 Days a Week (Hours will increase closer to Election Day)
