About the Campaign

We are running a serious campaign to flip Indiana's 9th Congressional District blue. This is a 30+ point Republican district, which means we are here to do the hard work. We are building a field program grounded in community relationships, and disciplined data practice. We are committed to a hiring process that is fair.

The Role

The Field Organizer is a full-time, in-district position responsible for building the volunteer infrastructure and direct voter contact program that wins campaigns. You will be embedded in the community, managing turfs, recruiting and retaining volunteers, and executing a data-driven plan to move persuadable voters and turn out our base. This is not a remote position. Your presence and relationship matter here.

What You'll Do

Voter Contact & Turf Management

  • Execute a high-volume direct voter contact program including canvassing, phone banking, and relational organizing

  • Manage assigned turf using MiniVAN and VoteBuilder to track all contact, update voter records, and report daily metrics

  • Meet weekly voter contact goals set in coordination with the Field Director

Volunteer Recruitment & Leadership

  • Recruit, train, and retain a roster of committed volunteers

  • Run regular volunteer phone banks, canvass launches, and community events

  • Develop volunteer leaders who can run their own shifts independently

Community Presence

  • Attend community events, tabling opportunities, and partner organization meetings

  • Build and maintain relationships with local Democratic clubs, unions, and community organizations

  • Serve as a visible, accountable face of the campaign in your area

Reporting & Data

  • Submit accurate daily and weekly data reports to the Campaign Director

  • Maintain clean, consistent data entry in VoteBuilder at all times

  • Participate in weekly team check-ins and campaign-wide strategy calls

  • Ability to work independently and manage your own time in a distributed team environment
