Term: Early September 2026 through November 3, 2026

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Recruit, welcome, train, schedule, and retain volunteers across District 37 through prompt follow up and one on one conversations.

• Lead canvass launches, phone banks, relational organizing activities, and volunteer trainings. Prepare scripts, turf, walk packets, and supplies, brief volunteers before shifts, and debrief them afterward.

• Personally canvass and phone bank while modeling respectful voter conversations and coaching volunteers.

• Work toward weekly goals for volunteer recruitment, completed shifts, voter contacts, and voter identifications.

• Ensure volunteer activity and voter contact results are entered accurately and promptly in VoteBuilder and MiniVAN, Mobilize, Campaign Deputy, and other approved campaign systems.

• Identify and develop volunteer leaders and build active county teams across the district.

• Represent Katie and the campaign with warmth, reliability, respect, and sound judgment at doors, on phones, and at community events.

• Support the final get out the vote program, including staging logistics, volunteer scheduling, voter follow up, and Election Day coverage.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong relationship building and communication skills.

• Reliability, organization, attention to detail, and sound judgment.

• Comfort speaking with unfamiliar voters and volunteers at doors, over the phone, and in community settings.

• Ability to make clear asks and work toward measurable goals in a fast moving campaign.

• Evening and weekend availability through Election Day.

• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel throughout District 37.

• Ability to use a smartphone and laptop for campaign work.

• Ability to spend extended periods canvassing outdoors and to carry campaign materials, with reasonable accommodation.

• Commitment to Katie’s campaign and respectful engagement with people from varied backgrounds.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience recruiting, training, or leading volunteers.

• Familiarity with VoteBuilder or VAN, MiniVAN, Mobilize, Campaign Deputy, or similar tools.

• Personal knowledge of the Eastern Shore or relationships in one or more District 37 counties.

• Additional language skills are welcome.

• Prior campaign experience is helpful but not required for a candidate with strong people skills and a willingness to learn.
