Summary: The David Trone for Maryland Campaign is seeking motivated and committed individuals to join our team as Field Organizers. Field Organizers will mobilize supporters, build strong community relationships, and help drive the campaign’s voter outreach and organizing efforts. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about political change, enjoy direct community engagement, and thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
Compensation:$5,000 - $6,000 per month, commensurate with experience.
**Benefits: **The campaign offers a competitive compensation package including the salary range listed above, potential travel and mileage reimbursement, and paid sick leave in accordance with Maryland law. Additional information regarding pay schedule and applicable benefits will be provided at the time of hire.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategic plans to recruit, train, and manage volunteers within assigned regions.
Organize and coordinate campaign events, including phone banks, canvassing operations, community events, house parties, and more.
Build and maintain relationships with community leaders, organizations, and local activists to expand the campaign’s reach and impact.
Utilize data-driven tools and organizing strategies to track progress, identify opportunities, and optimize field efforts.
Communicate regularly with campaign leadership and team members to ensure alignment and adapt strategies as needed.
Attend community events and meetings with and on behalf of the candidate.
All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Access to reliable transportation.
Access to a laptop and cell phone.
Previous experience in campaign organizing, volunteer management, or community outreach is highly desirable.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and motivate a diverse range of individuals.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively, demonstrating initiative and leadership.
Familiarity with digital tools and platforms used for organizing and communication is a plus.
Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, as campaign needs require.
Commitment to the values and goals of the David Trone for Maryland Campaign.
Fluency in Spanish and ties to the district are a plus.
