The Idaho Democratic Party is hiring a bilingual organizer for its largest statewide coordinated campaign ever. The 2024 Coordinated Campaign is designed to help elect Democrats in battleground districts and build a volunteer base for the 2024 election cycle. The Field Organizer will work under the Field Director and be placed in a designated legislative district to maximize voter turnout in the district. _The position is temporary and runs from June 2024 to November 2024. _
This role has an anticipated start date of July 15, 2024.
Roles and Duties:
Recruit, train, and manage volunteers for phone banking, voter registration, and canvassing events.
Must be able to hit metric goals on a weekly and quarterly basis and work well under pressure.
Build up a strong volunteer base and understanding of the area for Get Out the Vote (GOTV) in November 2024.
Develop and maintain a strong and trusting relationship with the county officials, candidates, volunteers, and partner organizations.
Provide daily/weekly reports of voter contact and volunteer recruitment data to the Field Director.
Work with HQ Staff, candidate staff, and other Democratic Party staff to implement organizational goals across the state.
Plan and recruit for weekly volunteer events in your respective counties.
Recruit and manage paid knockers throughout the 2024 campaign cycle.
Job Requirements:
Prior organizing experience preferred (paid, volunteer, or internship)
Full availability for the last two weeks before an election is required.
Ability to work long and unusual hours (some weekends and nights, especially leading up to the election).
Access to a reliable vehicle and a valid driver's license. Travel is required.
Fluency is Spanish is required for this role.
Must be willing to relocate.
