Mark Levine for Comptroller is looking for energetic, self-starting individuals to work as Field Organizers across New York City.
In this role, you will have the opportunity, partnering with the Field Director, to develop innovative and scalable strategies to connect with voters across neighborhoods and boroughs with the goal of electing Mark Levine as our city’s next Comptroller.
This position is in-person, though based in various locations around New York City. This position will conclude at the end of June.
Responsibilities:
Engage deeply with a community, building deep relationships with local groups, elected officials, and activists;
Take ownership of volunteer identification, recruitment, and training in voter contact methods, including door-to-door canvassing, phonebanking, and relational organizing;
Ensure that volunteer and voter contact goals are met or exceeded throughout the duration of the campaign;
Use campaign software and technology to rigorously track and report data and activities;
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
A passion for connecting with others, and creating change through one on one conversations;
An ability to work both independently and as a trusted member of a team;
Reliable access to a phone and computer;
A willingness to travel substantially within your assigned areas of the city (and occasionally beyond);
Willingness to work weekends and evenings throughout the duration of the campaign;
Access to a car is desired, but not required;
Fluency in a language other than English is desired, but not required.
The salary for this position is $4,500-$5,000 per month, commensurate with experience, with employer reimbursed health insurance.
