The ** Elyse Hoffenberg for Cook County Campaign** is seeking qualified and motivated individuals to serve as** Field Organizers** through** Election Day (November 3rd).**
Lyons Township Clerk Elyse Hoffenberg is running for election to the Cook County Board of Commissioners. As Lyons Township Clerk she led the creation of the Lyons Township Mental Health Commission which provides many resident services. She has also worked to make Lyons Township more accountable, transparent, and effective.
Field Organizers are on the front lines of the campaign, talking to, engaging, and persuading voters why they should vote for Elyse Hoffenberg on November 3rd. Field Organizers will report to Senior Campaign Staff and will work with fellow Field Organizers to reach voter-contact goals throughout District 17. This is a full or part-time position. ** If part-time it will be approximately 15-20 hours per week. If full-time then 30-40 hours per week. Both pay $20 per hour. Hours negotiable.** Additionally, due to the increased cost of fuel and the large length of our district, we will offer a monthly transit stipend (amount depends on if part-time or full-time).
Key Responsibilities
Conducting direct voter contact through door-knocking, phone banking, and text outreach
Recruit, train, and lead volunteers for Days of Action
Support and execute volunteer events and community outreach
Support Senior Campaign Staff with any needed activities
Qualifications
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Willingness to on occasion, work weekends and evenings
Ability and willingness to travel through District 17 (Lyons, Palos, Orland Park, LaGrange, Lemont, etc)
Valid Driver’s License
Preferred: Experience as a door-knocker/field organizer; knowledge or experience living/working in Cook County District 17
