The Washington State Democrats' Coordinated Campaign is seeking Field Organizers to join our 2024 campaign cycle. With a contested Senate race, open Governor's race, and multiple targeted congressional races, Field Organizers will be critical to the success of countless races in 2024.
These positions will report to Regional Field Directors. This job is a full-time, campaign cycle position, with an end date of November 15, 2024 and is a part of the collective bargaining agreement. Evening and weekend work will be required, particularly as we get closer to the 2024 General Election.

Experience
Experience working with volunteers, customer service or other public facing role
Past political organizing experience as a fellow or volunteer preferred
Familiarity with VAN is a bonus
Ability to adapt to evolving priorities
Comfortable working in a metrics and deadline driven environment
A valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and the ability to work evening and weekend hours
Comfortable scheduling self, volunteers and constituents for events/meetings
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
A friendly and professional demeanor
Ability to manage multiple projects independently
Responsibilities
Recruit, coach, train, and manage volunteer leaders across the state who are ready to talk to voters and take on the management of their own teams of volunteers
Recruit volunteers for and run direct voter contact events, including in-person and virtual phone banks and canvasses
Support targeted 2024 candidates by coordinating direct voter contact efforts with relevant Local Party Organizations and recruiting super volunteer leaders
Organize at the “grasstops” level, building authentic accountable relationships with community leaders to create a coalition willing to take direct action to elect Democrats up and down the ballot
Use various organizing tactics, including but not limited to 1:1 conversations, phone calls, texting, knocking on doors, and social media engagement to grow our network of action-oriented volunteers
Work to create a professional staff culture that is upbeat and empowering, with a mind towards greater inclusion, a customer-service attitude, and a willingness to solve problems creatively
Develop and maintain strong, trusting relationships with local party leaders, activist groups, and partner organizations so that we have strong and robust partnerships in advance of the 2024 election
Consistently meet deadlines and communicate with your direct supervisor when challenges arise that will prevent you and/or your team from meeting your goals
A commitment to creatively solving challenges that will occur with goals, strategies, and tactics
Other duties as required
This position is $22 per hour, with overtime paid at 1 ½ times the hourly rate after 40 hours up to 55 hours, with exceptions in the GOTV window. Benefits include healthcare, phone, and mileage stipends; sick leave, bereavement, and paid observed holidays. This position is a part of the Coordinated Campaign’s collective bargaining agreement.
