Stop the Ban (STB) is a campaign - made up of a statewide coalition of organizations and concerned citizens - working to defeat a Missouri Constitutional Amendment that would overturn the Missouri reproductive freedom ballot measure passed in 2024. The proposed ban addresses multiple unrelated subjects, banning abortion and health care for transgender youth as well as changing court processes designed to make it harder to protect reproductive freedom.
Position Overview:
Stop the Ban is seeking passionate and dedicated Field Organizers to join our team. As a Field Organizer, you will play a crucial role in mobilizing voters, engaging volunteers, and executing a variety of voter contact tactics meant to persuade and turn out our supporters to vote No. This position is ideal for individuals who are motivated, personable, and eager to make a difference. _This position will be in-person in Missouri, while coordinating virtually with team members across the state. _
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct direct voter outreach through door-to-door canvassing and phonebanking activities.
Recruit, train, and manage volunteers to participate in door-to-door canvassing, phone banking, and other voter outreach efforts.
Build and maintain relationships with community leaders, local organizations, key activists, volunteer leaders, and voters.
Organize and execute a broad range of visibility events to educate voters and engage potential volunteers.
Implement the campaign's field plan to meet volunteer recruitment, voter contact and engagement goals, as well as collect and report data from field activities to track progress and inform strategy.
Assist with the management of the campaign’s Fellows Program.
Represent the campaign at community events and provide support for events as needed.
Qualifications:
Campaign experience and ties to Missouri a plus.
Passionate about advocating for reproductive rights.
Proven interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills with the ability to build relationships with staff and community stakeholders at all levels.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a willingness to take initiative.
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, and ability to travel statewide.
Have access to a car, smart phone, and laptop.
