John Kane for State Senate seeks organized, outgoing individuals to serve as field organizers. The field organizers will work with the campaign manager to strategize and organize direct voter contact in an assigned region of Pennsylvania’s 9th Senate District.
SD-9 is situated within Delaware and Chester Counties outside of Philadelphia and includes urban, suburban, and rural communities. Sen. Kane, a plumber and local labor leader, was first elected in 2020 in a close election and is the first Democrat to represent his district in 147 years. He has spent his first term advocating for working people and families—help us keep him in Harrisburg!
Responsibilities include:
-Implementing the campaign’s field plan.
-Recruiting, training, coordinating, and managing volunteers.
-Direct voter contact, including phone banking, canvassing, and texting.
-Building and maintaining relationships with local committees.
-Organizing GOTV operations.
-Other reasonable tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
-Strong communication skills
-Excellent organization and time management.
-Comfortable working in a fast-paced campaign environment and with diverse constituencies.
-Commitment to electing Democrats up and down the ballot.
-Basic proficiency with GSuite.
Preferred but not required:
-Previous campaign experience, whether paid or volunteer.
-Knowledge of Votebuilder or miniVAN.
-Local ties.
A driver’s license, reliable access to a car, and a smartphone are all needed to fulfill this role. Weekend work will be required.
Compensation starts at $4500 per month. This role is seasonal and expected to begin on June 1st and run through mid-November.
