Team Overview

The Colorado Democratic Party is seeking a skilled and experienced Field Organizers to join our growing team. 2026 features competitive races up and down the ballot in Colorado, including the election of John Hickenlooper (US Senate), Phil Weiser (Governor), Jena Griswold (Attorney General), Amanda Gonzalez (Secretary of State), and Jeff Bridges (Treasurer), alongside competitive US House races. The Coordinated Campaign will persuade and mobilize voters to support Colorado’s Democrats in November 2026.

Role Overview

The Colorado Democratic Party is seeking Field Organizers to elect Democrats up and down the ballot. Organizers will be responsible for recruiting, training, and managing volunteers to expand the volunteer network for the campaign and execute a variety of voter contact tactics meant to turn out voters, with a strong emphasis on relational and distributed organizing to grow our reach beyond direct staff capacity.

Responsibilities include:

  • Recruiting, managing, and training volunteers to participate in direct voter contact, including but not limited to door-to-door canvassing, high traffic canvassing, voter registration, and relational organizing.

  • Training and coaching volunteers to use the Reach app to map their personal networks and recruit friends, family, and neighbors into the campaign.

  • Applying distributed organizing tactics by empowering volunteer leaders to independently plan and run trainings, events, and outreach, multiplying the campaign's capacity in your assigned district.

  • Executing a broad range of visibility events to educate voters about the election and excite potential volunteers to join the campaign.

  • Successfully meeting daily, weekly, and phase goals for capacity building and voter contact in your assigned district, as well as maintaining data integrity.

  • Developing strong relationships with local party leaders, grassroots organizers, and key activists.

  • Other responsibilities as needed.

Requirements:

  • Relational and distributed organizing experience, or familiarity with the Reach app, is a plus.

  • Ability to live and work in-person in Colorado through November 2024. Must have access to a vehicle, valid driver's license, computer, cell phone.

  • Commitment to the election of Democrats up and down the ballot.

  • Strong ability to build relationships and foster a positive team culture.

  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to meet tight deadlines under pressure and problem solve effectively and creatively.
