About the Role 

Team Monmouth (Donlon and Peterpaul for LD11) is seeking passionate, driven, and people-oriented ** Field Organizers** to join our grassroots team. Field Organizers will be on the front lines of our campaign, building relationships in communities, recruiting and training volunteers, and engaging in voter mobilization. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

● ** Voter Engagement & Outreach: **

Execute the campaign’s field strategy in an assigned turf or region by conducting direct voter outreach through canvassing, phone banking, text banking, and digital tools.

● ** Volunteer Recruitment & Management: **

Identify, recruit, train, and retain a diverse group of volunteers. Empower volunteers to take on leadership roles and organize local events. 

● ** Relationship Building: **

Build and maintain strong relationships with community stakeholders, local organizations, activists, and volunteers. Attend community events to expand outreach and increase campaign visibility. 

● ** Data Tracking & Reporting: **

Maintain accurate and timely records of voter contact, volunteer shifts, and outreach outcomes. Submit daily and weekly reports on goals and metrics. 

● ** Event Coordination: **

Organize and lead volunteer events such as canvassing launches, phone banks, and community meetings. 

● ** Goal-Oriented Execution: **

Consistently meet and exceed daily, weekly, and long-term voter contact and volunteer recruitment goals. 

● ** Team Collaboration: **

Work closely with the field team and campaign leadership to adjust strategy based on data and on-the-ground feedback. Share best practices and help maintain a positive team culture.

 

Qualifications 

● Prior experience in political campaigns, community organizing, issue advocacy, or campus activism (volunteer, internship, or paid) 

● Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others 

● Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines 

● Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in a high-pressure environment 

● Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in organizing practices

● Proficiency with voter contact tools (e.g., VAN, Impactive, Scale to Win, Mobilize)

● Flexible schedule and willingness to work evenings and weekends as required by the campaign calendar 

● Valid driver’s license, access to a reliable vehicle, and ability to travel within the assigned region
