The Nassau County Democrats are hiring ** Field Organizers** to help** elect Democrats** and defeat Republicans up and down the ballot in 2025. This is a critical off-year election where every vote matters — and your work will be at the heart of it.
The ideal candidate should be proficient using VAN/VoteBuilder, coordinating Virtual Phone Banks and digital/text campaigns. You’ll work directly with voters, community leaders, and local Democratic clubs and will be responsible for recruiting, training, and mobilizing volunteers to ultimately drive voter turnout.
The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and collaboratively and will have at least basic to intermediate knowledge of social media and digital mail platforms. Prior work in Nassau County and New York State is a plus.
Responsibilities
Volunteer Recruitment & Management: Identify, engage, and train volunteers to participate in canvassing, phone banking, text banking, and relational organizing.
Voter Contact: Lead high-volume, direct voter outreach efforts, including door-to-door canvassing and phone banks to persuade and mobilize voters.
Community Engagement: Build relationships with local activists, civic groups, and Democratic stakeholders.
Data & Reporting: Track voter contact results and volunteer engagement using tools like VAN/NGP and MiniVAN. Ensure data is timely and accurate.
Event Coordination: Organize voter registration drives, community meetings, trainings, and campaign events.
Local Knowledge: Stay informed on local issues, candidate messaging, and county dynamics to effectively communicate the stakes of the election.
Must have access to a vehicle, valid driver's license, laptop and cell phone

Pay: $4,000.00 - $5,000.00 per month
