Josh Elliott is building a grassroots, people-powered campaign for Connecticut Governor. Josh is a Hamden small business owner, fifth-term Democratic State Representative, and Deputy Speaker of the Connecticut House. For years, he’s stood up to the special interests that have made life less affordable and driven families out of our state. Now, he’s running for Governor to bring the new leadership we all deserve. The Field Organizer will help channel Josh’s volunteer force and scale our campaign across Connecticut’s 169 towns and municipalities.
Core responsibilities
Activate and engage volunteers to help reach voters across the state
Execute a high-volume voter contact program (door-to-door, phone, and text) to meet weekly identification, persuasion, and turnout goals
Recruit, train, and develop volunteers into leaders who can run their own phonebanks, canvasses, and outreach events
Identify leads for grassroots fundraising in coordination with the team
Track, manage, and report on all volunteer and voter data using campaign tools ensuring data integrity and progress toward goals
Work closely with the full staff team to align organizing efforts with political, digital, and communications strategy, and deliver daily written updates
Support broader campaign priorities as needed, including events and rapid-response organizing efforts
