Northern New Jersey Member of Congress Josh Gottheimer’s campaign is seeking qualified candidates for the Field Organizer position. Josh Gottheimer is a Democratic Member of Congress representing New Jersey’s 5th Congressional District and co-chair of the bipartisan Problem Solvers Caucus.
Job Description
The Field Organizer is responsible for executing the campaign's voter contact program. Reporting to the Field Director, they will recruit, train, and manage volunteers and interns to carry out voter outreach and mobilization.
Applicants must possess reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, working laptop, and be willing to work extended hours and weekends.
Duties and Responsibilities
Recruit and manage a team of volunteers, volunteer leadership, and interns.
Train volunteers and interns on voter contact skills.
Create a positive volunteer experience that engages new people in the volunteer process and keeps people engaged throughout the cycle.
Set up volunteer events and coordinate with local campaigns.
Execute direct voter contact including, canvassing, phone banking, and texting.
Qualifications
Experience managing and training volunteers.
Past success working in a team environment.
Familiarity with Google Suite, Zoom, VAN and other online tools.
Ability to meet deadlines and communicate progress towards meeting goals.
Attention to detail.
Campaign experience preferred.
