Salary: $20/hour with overtime paid at 1.5 times the hourly rate after 40 hours up to 65 hours. Anticipated weekly hours will range from 40-65 hours, as needed, over the course of the election cycle. JOB DESCRIPTION

Dr. Kim Schrier for Congress (WA-08) is seeking driven organizers to work on a competitive Frontline congressional race for the 2024 cycle. As organizers you will inspire and mobilize voters across the district. Field Organizers will be responsible for the execution of the voter mobilization plan, including voter registration, volunteer recruitment, direct voter contact, and hosting voter contact events. 

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Communicate with voters directly about Dr. Kim Schrier for Congress in the form of canvassing, phonebanking, tabling, and other voter contact efforts

  • Recruit and train volunteers 

  • Travel throughout the district to participate in events and engage with voters

  • Produce reports for the organizing director, and manage data in our various web based systems such as Votebuilder, Mobilize America, and Google suite

  • Develop and curate strong relationships with your teammates and members of our congressional district

  • Other responsibilities as assigned

 

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated ability to work as a productive and reliable member of a team.

  • Familiarity with the electoral process and a commitment to reelecting Dr. Kim Schrier.

  • Strong ability to build relationships and foster a positive team culture.

  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines under pressure and problem-solve effectively and creatively.

  • Access to a vehicle, a personal computer, and a cell phone.

  • Proactively fosters an inclusive atmosphere and commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.

 

Strongly Preferred:

  • Campaign experience, one cycle or more

  • Familiarity with VAN or DPI, Google Suite, and MobilizeAmerica

  • Experience working with or overseeing a volunteer team
