Position Overview:
Field Representatives are responsible for honing and sharing the message of Nabeela Syed’s re-election campaign for Illinois House District 51. The Field Representative will act as a communication liaison for the campaign, engaging in meaningful and persuasive conversations with community members with the goal of gaining voters for incumbent candidate Nabeela Syed in the November 2024 General Election. FR’s primary responsibility will be to canvas during their shift, though FR’s may be asked on occasion to phone bank or help with additional tasks for the campaign.
Expectations:
Engage and actively participate in training, maintaining understanding of campaign’s messaging
Maintain commitment to and integrity in providing accurate information to voters, raising questions to the campaign when they arise
Communicating with the campaign regarding experiences at the doors, needs and feedback of constituents, etc.
Accurately recording data in a timely manner
Prepare and accurately submit end of day/end of shift reports
Required Skills:
Good time management
Access to a car during and around shifts
Ability to maintain a courteous, respectful, polite, and professional demeanor with community members and fellow campaign staff
Cultural competency
Availability for 10-15 hours per week
Additional Requirements:
Field Reps will be required to have access to a reliable car and phone (with the minivan app) during shifts
Field Reps must be 16 years of age or older
