About the role
The Finance and Political Assistant will report directly to the campaign manager and work closely with campaign consultants to support the campaign’s fundraising efforts and will support the campaign’s engagement with political stakeholders.
The job responsibilities of the Finance & Political Assistant include:
Research prospective donors and help to prepare for AG Campbell's call time;
Assist in developing and executing fundraising events, drafting and sending invitations, and closely tracking contributions;
Staffing in-person finance team events around the state;
Tracking and preparing for political events and supporting campaign manager with logistics of 2026 Democratic caucuses and convention;
Other duties as assigned.
Who we’re looking for:
Some experience with Democratic political campaigns, government, community organizing, or fundraising preferred, but not required;
Background in software such as NGP VAN, ActBlue, Canva, Mailmeteor, G-Suite, preferred;
Excellent verbal and written, interpersonal communication skills and professionalism;
Close attention to detail and strong personal organizational skills;
Experience with Massachusetts a plus;
Passion for reelecting Massachusetts’ only statewide elected official of color.
Salary & location
This is a full-time, paid position, based in greater Boston, MA through November 2026. Start date ASAP. Evening and weekend availability is required for in-person events and campaign activities. Applicants must have access to a reliable, personal vehicle as frequent in-state travel is required. Applicants also must have a laptop and cell phone. Salary is dependent on experience and in the range of $5,000 – $6,000. This position includes a $500/month health care stipend.
