Dr Tina Shah for Congress is urgently hiring for a full-time Finance Assistant to join our team. The Finance Assistant will support a robust call time and finance program. You will work closely with the Finance Director to raise funds from supporters through dedicated call time and events. This position is based in New Jersey’s Seventh Congressional District, though you may begin remotely.
New Jersey’s 7th Congressional District is one of the most important seats to flip for Democrats to win back the House of Representatives in November. This race is a “toss up” according to Cook Political Report and the rest of the country will be watching what happens. Dr. Tina Shah is a local ICU doctor, who was appointed by President Obama and served in three White House administrations; She led a successful effort to protect essential healthcare in the state of New Jersey, and now she is looking to flip this seat.
Responsibilities Include:
- Prepping calls for the candidate at the direction of senior fundraising staff.
- Conducting donor research and identifying targets.
- Staffing call time with the candidate and logging donor interaction in the donor CRM.
- Managing call follow up and ensuring all leads receive proper follow up.
- Tracking pledges and following up via email and phone.
- Assist with the planning and execution of fundraising events.
- Completing other tasks as needed for campaign success.
Ideal Candidate:
- Previous campaign or finance/fundraising experience preferred, but not necessary.
- Highly organized.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills.
- Positive attitude and ability to problem solve.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work on evenings and on weekends.
