The Monica Tranel for Montana campaign is looking for an experienced and passionate individual to join our team in Montana’s 1st congressional district as a member of the Finance team. The right candidate will be hardworking, detail-oriented, and prepared to help build a comprehensive fundraising program and assist with other aspects of the campaign. The staffer will report to the Deputy Finance Director and will help ensure the campaign has the resources we need to run a top-tier competitive race. After dramatically overperforming the 2020 presidential ticket and running one of the most competitive races in the country in 2022, Monica has proven she has what it takes to win MT-01. This is a Red-to-Blue race that will reshape the house majority. ** This role is either part-time or full time** (25-40 hours per week) and will run through approximately November 15th.

 

PRIMARY FINANCE RESPONSIBILITIES 

 

  • Assist the Finance Team in executing the campaign’s fundraising plan

  • Maintain fundraising RSVP and registration lists

  • Conduct donor outreach by phone and in-person (this position will require calling donors, helping build for fundraisers, etc.)

  • Provide fundraising administrative and logistical support, such as entering and depositing checks and dial testing

  • Manage specific databases and conduct basic donor research 

  • Prepare for, staff, and conduct follow up for fundraising events

  • Other duties as assigned based on the needs of the campaign

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Proficiency in Google Workspace

  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, meeting frequent and short deadlines.

  • Willing to work extended hours, including nights and weekends, as needed.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.

  • Enthusiasm for working in an organization with a culture of respect, empowerment, and inclusion.

  • Access to a cell phone, laptop, a valid driver’s license, and reliable transportation.

  • Lives in or willing to relocate to the Missoula, MT area

 

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

 

  • Competitive salary and, if full time, a $300 per month healthcare stipend
