Pat Ryan for Congress is seeking a Finance Assistant. In 2022, Rep. Pat Ryan (NY-18) was the only Democrat in New York to win a toss-up race. NY-18 will be a top race nationally, so we’re building the team we’ll need to win again in 2024. We expect that this position will start in Q3 of 2024.
Responsibilities:
Assisting the Deputy Finance Director and Finance Director with the call time program, including conducting donor research, staffing the candidate during call time, and taking thorough notes
Conducting donor outreach and follow-up, including chase calls and thank you notes
Working with the team to build and coordinate events for the candidate throughout the district as well as nationally
Staffing the candidate at finance events
Assisting Finance team with grassroots fundraising management, such as volunteer fundraising, scheduling calls for the candidate, and direct mail fundraising
Helping with other aspects of the campaign as necessary
Required Qualifications
Team player and self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Meticulous attention to detail
This is an entry-level position, however campaign experience (including as a volunteer or intern) is a plus
Driver's license and access to a car
