The Nathan Johnson for Texas Attorney General campaign is seeking a strategic and organized Finance Assistant to support the fundraising program in one of the most exciting states of the 2026 cycle. The Finance Assistant will report to and work with the Finance Director to manage the campaign’s call time program, support fundraising events, and assist with the finance operation.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the planning, execution, and staffing of fundraisers and events
Develop, implement, and manage a call time program with the support of the Finance Director
Staff candidate during call time
Prospect potential donors and oversee donor research program
Perform all donor follow up, including timely emails, letters, calls, and thank you notes
Oversee finance interns and fellows
Qualifications:
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced campaign environment
Willingness to learn, grow, and work with a team and principal
Ability to work irregular hours, including some nights and weekends
A valid driver’s license and vehicle
Compensation and Application Process:
Salary Range: $4500-5000 / Monthly
This is a full-time position based in Austin, Texas. Regular travel throughout Texas and
occasional travel to major fundraising centers is required.
