Location: St. Paul office with option for remote work 1 day per week

Salary: $50,000 – $70,000 commensurate with experience

Position Summary

The Minnesota DFL Party is looking for a Finance Assistant to manage contributions, maintain data systems, and help execute a robust finance plan. This role will work directly with the Finance Director and Deputy Finance Director. Individuals who apply should have excellent data management and interpersonal communication skills. 

 

Core Responsibilities

  • Input contributions from online contributions, checks, and any other sources into NGP, collaborating with Comptroller to ensure contribution data meets compliance requirements

  • Manage routine upkeep of NGP and other databases

  • Manage the processing and mailing of contribution receipts

  • Assist the Finance Director and Deputy Finance Director with fundraising events from preparation to the event itself

  • Communicate with donors who are looking for receipts or have questions about their donations

  • With the Finance Director and Deputy Finance Director, manage and train the department interns

  • Research donors, event venues, and potential special guests

  • Demonstrate the highest standards of accountability to all internal stakeholders, including the Chair, Executive Director, SLT members, and staff across the organization.  

  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Knowledge of NGP 8 and ActBlue
