Background:
State Senator Kyle Evans Gay, Candidate for Delaware Lieutenant Governor, and her team are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Finance Assistant. A mom of young kids, attorney, advocate, and State Senator who has successfully delivered legislation to expand childcare and protect reproductive justice and voting rights for Delawareans, Kyle is running an energetic campaign that’s about bringing new leadership and new ideas.
The Finance Assistant will report to the candidate and Campaign Manager, and will be predominantly responsible for helping implement and expand an ambitious fundraising program across Delaware’s three counties.
Responsibilities:
Conducting donor research and preparing call lists using NGP and MS Excel
Assisting with call time by staffing the candidate during call time, logging all activity in NGP, and following up with call time contacts
Supporting the fundraising events program by coordinating with hosts, creating call lists, tracking RSVPs, and staffing the candidate during events
Assisting with the thank you notes process
Developing and maintaining positive rapport and productive relationships with community leaders and activists
Assisting with additional campaign tasks as may be assigned from time to time by the campaign manager and candidate
Qualifications:
1+ cycles of campaign finance experience is preferred (including internships and fellowships)
Knowledge of Google Suite and Excel is required, experience with NGP and Actblue are preferred
Excellent time management skills and an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Willing to work campaign hours, including nights and weekends
This position will require a valid driver's license, vehicle, laptop, and phone
Positive attitude and an ability to approach problem solving with creativity
Willingness to learn and bring new ideas to the campaign
Delaware ties are strongly preferred, but not required
Travel as required
This is a full time position. It will pay $2500 monthly, commensurate with the applicant’s experience.
