JOB DESCRIPTION

Val Hoyle’s campaign for Oregon’s 4th Congressional District seeks a passionate Finance Assistant to help execute a strong finance program in a must-hold Frontline seat for Democrats. The Finance Assistant will work closely with our Finance Director to build out and scale up existing call time, events research, prospecting, follow up, and donor management systems. The right person will be creative, detail-oriented, and prepared to learn the intricacies of campaign fundraising operations.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and staff candidate call time. Track and execute all follow up in a timely manner, including pledge chase, thank yous, and further cultivation. 

  • Help plan and build for in-district fundraising events.

  • Conduct donor research, cultivate new donors, manage dial testing,  and build call lists. 

  • Maintain a detailed and organized database of donors and prospects.

  • Meet goals and objectives to hold oneself accountable. 

  • Maintain a strong professional working relationship with candidate, campaign team, and donors. 

  • Conduct other finance and campaign related responsibilities as needed.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Finance experience preferred, but not required. Knowledge of ActBlue NGP8, and other finance programs is a plus.

  • Detail oriented self-starter with strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong online research skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, meeting frequent and short deadlines.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

  • Ability to work independently and in team settings, willingness to work irregular hours.

  • Enthusiasm for working in an organization with a culture of respect, empowerment, and inclusion.

  • Connection to and/or willingness to relocate to the district is required.

  • Experience working on past campaigns is recommended, but not required.
