James Solomon’s 2025 campaign for Mayor is seeking a passionate, detail-oriented team player to join our team. The Finance Associate will report to the Finance Director. This is a full-time position based in Jersey City, NJ. Preference will be given towards applicants who reside in Jersey City or who are willing to relocate to work in person full-time. The campaign will consider those applying to work remotely.
Job Responsibilities
• Manage the campaign call time program. Prepare call lists, staff the candidate during call time, follow up with donors after sessions and track call time data.
• Assist in the planning and execution of events. You will manage RSVPs, communicate with the hosts, create invitations and staff the principal at events.
• Perform donor research. Identify and research prospective campaign donors.
• Assist with database management.
• Help manage finance interns and volunteers.
• Other duties may be assigned once you’re on the team, depending on the needs of the Finance Director
and campaign team.
Qualifications
• Strong commitment to protecting democracy, fighting for affordable housing, protecting the environment, and improving city services
• Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills
• Ability to remain organized and mange multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Strong work ethic and willingness to take ownership of wide-ranging responsibilities
Preferred Skills
• Prior campaign finance experience
• Familiarity with NGP, ActBlue, CallTime.AI and/or other fundraising platforms
• Familiarity with Canva or other graphic design tools
Compensation
• $4,000-$4,400/month commensurate with experience
