About the Campaign

A candidate for U.S. Senate in Michigan is running a strong, grassroots-powered campaign to represent Michigan in the United States Senate. Our team is mission-driven, fast-moving, and laser-focused on flipping or defending this crucial seat. We’re looking for a Finance Assistant who’s ready to roll up their sleeves and help power one of the most important races in the country.

Position Summary

The Finance Assistant will support the day-to-day operations of the fundraising team, helping us meet ambitious goals through donor management, call time support, event logistics, and data tracking. This is an ideal role for someone looking to grow in the world of political finance and gain first-hand experience on a high-stakes campaign.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with call time preparation for the candidate and senior staff, including creating call sheets, tracking pledges, and logging follow-ups in NGP.

  • Maintain accurate donor records and ensure timely data entry and reporting.

  • Conduct donor research and assist with briefing memos for the candidate and surrogates.

  • Process contributions, track incoming donations, and coordinate with the compliance team as needed.

  • Provide general administrative support to the Finance Director and Deputy Finance Director.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ cycle or internship in political campaigns, fundraising, nonprofit development, or related field (but not required — eagerness to learn goes a long way)

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Comfort with spreadsheets, data entry, and tracking systems (NGP experience is a plus)

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Professionalism and discretion with confidential information

  • Positive attitude, team player, and a willingness to pitch in wherever needed

  • Michigan ties or familiarity with the political landscape are a bonus

Salary & Benefits

  • Competitive monthly salary

  • Health benefits included

  • Tech and travel stipends available

  • Opportunities for mentorship and growth within the campaign
