JOB DESCRIPTION

Congressman Chris Deluzio’s campaign is seeking to hire a creative, motivated finance director for the 2026 cycle. This individual will work closely with the campaign manager, Congressman Deluzio, and the rest of the campaign team. They will have the opportunity to not only play a key role in steering the campaign to another strong win this cycle, but will also be part of a larger effort to reorient the Democrat’s messaging and policies around the economy.

After two cycles as a DCCC Frontline/R2B candidate, Congressman Chris Deluzio has consistently overperformed in his district (+6 in 2022, +8 in 2024) and is running for reelection to continue representing PA-17. Western Pennsylvania is a critical region for Democrats to win, and the Deluzio campaign is uniquely focused on investing in and building strength here.

Congressman Deluzio has garnered national attention this year for pushing Democrats to focus on a message of economic populism: we need to revive the American dream, confront corruption, and take on corporate power’s stranglehold on the economy.

Chris is a Western Pennsylvania native, an Iraq War veteran, voting rights lawyer, union organizer, a husband and father of four.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Maintain, execute, and grow an aggressive finance plan for Chris Deluzio for Congress and the Chris Deluzio Victory Fund for the 2026 cycle.

  • Work closely with the political director, PAC consultant, senior advisor, and chief of staff to coordinate and maximize fundraising efforts across donor constituencies (non-corporate PACs, labor, high and mid-dollar donors, grassroots donors, bundlers, event hosts, etc).

  • Build on existing donor databases by identifying, researching, and recruiting new donors as well as maintaining data hygiene.

  • Lead on the creation of timely donor memos and written materials focused on fundraising efforts, outside of the email/sms program.

  • Grow national fundraising program, staff national fundraising trips and events, and maintain relationships with national donors in coordination with the finance team.

  • Coordinate and plan all fundraising events in Western Pennsylvania, putting on approximately 3-7 local fundraisers per quarter.

  • Staff candidate call time, advise on COS call time, and oversee all follow-up donor correspondence and pledges.

  • Manage thank you program, including a quarterly thank you note program and strategic use of candidate for individual calls.

  • Oversee the implementation of direct mail and digital fundraising with the relevant vendors/consultants.

  • Consult with the compliance firm on a consistent basis to ensure correct reporting, plus must manage the PO Box and in-district depositing of checks.

  • Participate in and prepare for weekly check-in meetings with the campaign team and other partners to report progress toward goals and discuss challenges and questions.

Qualifications

  • Passion for electing Democrats, with a specific interest in those focused on winning back working class voters!

  • At least one cycle of campaign fundraising experience is required, with knowledge of call time processes and event planning.

  • Experience with NGP, Google Suite, and ActBlue is highly encouraged.

  • Ideal candidates:

  • Consider themselves team players, are highly organized, and have strong communication and writing skills.

  • Work well with a close, professional partner, but can fulfill tasks independently.

  • Approach challenges and problems with humility and curiosity.

  • Enjoy building relationships with stakeholders across the district, state, and country.

Job Details

This full-time position is in-person, and based in the Pittsburgh region at the Deluzio HQ office – we will work with the individual to support them in the moving process if necessary, and a virtual start date is acceptable.
