JOB DESCRIPTION

Oliver Larkin’s Campaign for Congress in Florida’s 23rd Congressional district is hiring a Finance Director to lead his fundraising operation for his challenge to Rep. Jared Moskowitz, Oliver is Fort Lauderdale native and a decade-long progressive organizer, fighting for Medicare for All, a $25 minimum wage, the Green New Deal, universal childcare, free public college, paid family and medical leave, abolishing ICE, and an end to the US funded genocide in Gaza. He rejects all corporate PAC money. From leading a Bernie Sanders field office in 2016 to unionizing his workplace with CWA, Oliver took what he learned and put it to work in South Florida, organizing against luxury developers, fighting toxic landfill expansion, standing with LGBTQIA+ communities, and confronting groups like Moms for Liberty and the Proud Boys alongside families, educators, and students as an active member of Broward DSA. Oliver has been endorsed by DSA, Peace Action, the Labor Community Alliance of South Florida, Broward DSA, Palm Beach and Treasure Coast DSA, Orlando DSA, Miami DSA, Progressives for Democracy in America Florida, and Progressive Victory. The Role The Finance Director will design and execute the campaign’s full fundraising program, partnering with staff, advisors, consultants, and volunteers to build the resources needed to win. This role owns everything from call time strategy to donor cultivation to event execution to compliance.


Responsibilities

● Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising plan across digital, direct mail, call

time, and events

● Build and manage the candidate’s call time program: track outreach, manage donor

pipelines, and produce regular reports for the candidate and senior staff

● Cultivate relationships with individual donors, PACs, labor unions, and allied organizations

● Plan and execute high-impact fundraising events, house parties, and donor briefings

● Maintain the donor database, ensure timely acknowledgments, and build systems for

prospecting, tracking, and donor reporting

● Research and identify potential donors to expand the campaign’s fundraising network

● Set fundraising goals, update projections, and build finance operations that support the

campaign budget

● Oversee campaign budget, cash flow, and financial projections

● Ensure timely and accurate FEC filings and compliance with all campaign finance laws,

working with the treasurer and compliance consultants

● Coordinate with digital, field, and communications teams to align fundraising with campaign

messaging

● Support rapid-response fundraising tied to campaign moments and news cycles

● Manage finance staff and interns

 

The Right Person

● Has at least one cycle as a Deputy Finance Director, Call Time Manager, or Finance Assistant on a campaign, state party, C4, or non-profit

● Has a high level of creativity and will question the traditional ways campaigns raise money

● Thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment and can work long hours and meet tight

deadlines
