JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Finance Director to join our team, supporting Devon's campaign for both position 6 on the McKenzie School District #68 School Board and position 6 (at-large) for Lane Education Service District Board of Directors in Lane County, OR. The Finance Director will play a pivotal role in managing our campaign's financial operations, ensuring financial health and compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements. You will be responsible for developing and implementing effective fundraising strategies, managing campaign budgets, and overseeing all financial transactions and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising plan to support the campaign's financial goals, including donor outreach, event planning, and online fundraising.

  • Create and manage the campaign budget, ensuring that funds are allocated efficiently and effectively to maximize impact.

  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with all campaign finance laws and regulations.

  • Work closely with the campaign manager and other team members to align financial strategy with overall campaign objectives.

  • Prepare financial reports for campaign leadership and regulatory bodies as required.

  • Advise the campaign team on financial strategy and risk management.

 

Requirements & Preferences:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CPA, CFA) are a plus. A degree will not be required if you have the experience necessary.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in finance, with a preference for prior experience in political campaign finance or non-profit fundraising.

  • Strong understanding of campaign finance laws and regulations.

  • Proven ability to develop and implement successful fundraising strategies.

  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with donors, team members, and the public.

  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel or all Google Applications.
