Job Description

**Job Description**

Joshua for Arizona, the campaign of Joshua Polacheck for the Arizona Corporation Commission, the only non-federal statewide race in Arizona in 2024, is currently hiring a Finance Director. This race is one of the consequential climate races in the country in 2024 and Arizona is a top 3 swing state. The Commission has overarching regulatory authority over Arizona’s power sector. The Finance Director will develop, implement, and manage all call time programs, low and high dollar events, low dollar phone programs, donor prospecting and research, and oversee call time. The Finance Director will develop and manage the online fundraising, email and direct mail programs in partnership with a commercial advertising agency.

Ideal candidates should be highly organized, efficient, and capable of showing leadership in a fast-paced environment in a swing state emerging from decades of one-party Republican control. Though having success at the statewide level since 2018, Democrats have not had a viable shot of flipping control of the Commission since the 1990s. With a strong Democratic candidate with decades of national security experience, Republican scandals/infighting and other local issues - including abortion, water, and energy independence, we can flip the Commission while contributing to flipping the state legislature and assisting the U.S. Senate and Presidential races. The campaign has already qualified for the general election.
