This position is temporary and lasts until March 30, 2026 with the possibility of extension until November 15th, 2026. Applications will be accepted and reviewed on a rolling basis until at least June 21, 2025. This is an in-person position in Schaumberg, Illinois, which will require establishing residence in or near Illinois’ Eighth Congressional District.

 

Position Overview

Neil Khot’s congressional campaign is seeking to hire a Finance Director, who will lead all aspects of the campaign’s finance and development strategy. This includes managing donor communications, call time, events, digital fundraising, and compliance tracking. The ideal candidate has strong political fundraising experience, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is excited to help build a sustainable donor program from the ground up.

 

 

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

●     Provide day-to-day management of the finance team and staff call time as needed.

●     Donor Cultivation

○     Identify, solicit, and steward major donors, PACs, and allied organizations.

○     Develop and maintain donor databases and contact pipelines.

●     Fundraising Events

○     Plan and execute both in-person and virtual fundraising events, including house parties, ticketed events, and donor briefings.

●     Finance Tracking & Compliance

○     Work closely with the campaign’s compliance consultant to ensure accurate and timely reporting.

○     Track daily and weekly fundraising goals, pledges, and receipts.

●     Other responsibilities as assigned

 

Qualifications

●     Applicants must have at least 1-2 cycles as a Finance Director, Deputy Finance Director and/or Finance Assistant.

●     Demonstrated success managing call time and securing contributions from diverse donor audiences.

●     Comfort with NGP VAN, ActBlue, and Google Workspace tools.

●     Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as needed.
