Position Overview:
The Vindman for Congress Campaign is seeking a dedicated and experienced Finance Director to spearhead the finance operation for one of the highest-raising congressional fundraising programs in the country. This job has the potential to extend beyond the 2026 cycle, with room for growth to oversee Congressman Vindman’s fundraising operation for multiple cycles.
Required Qualifications:
At least two cycles of relevant campaign experience including at least one in campaign finance.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with donors and team members.
Strong organizational and project management skills, with an eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
Proficiency in Google Docs, NGP VAN, ActBlue, and other fundraising and compliance tools.
Passion for politics and a commitment to Democratic values.
Virginia finance experience preferred but not required.
Primary Responsibilities:
Execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy in collaboration with campaign leadership to ensure the longevity and overall health of the finance program.
Directly work with national fundraising consultants, digital fundraising consultants, and other team members to manage and align multiple fundraising channels.
Manage the call time program with the candidate, including sending follow-up communications, tracking pledges, recording data, preparing thorough lists, and running a donor acknowledgement program.
Oversee the expansion of existing donor databases by identifying, researching, and recruiting new donors.
Plan, coordinate, and execute fundraising events. Ensure seamless event logistics, engaging programming, and meaningful donor interactions.
Manage full time junior finance staff and ensure their growth and professional development.
**Location: **This is an in-person position based in Woodbridge, Virginia with periodic requirements in Washington, D.C. Travel within Virginia and occasionally out-of-state travel will be required.
**Compensation: **Salary $6,500 - $7,500 per month based on experience. Health insurance stipend will be provided.
