JOB DESCRIPTION

2026 Finance Director – Kristian Carranza For State Representative HD-118 

 

Kristian Carranza for Texas is looking for a dedicated Finance Director to spearhead the finance program for the most competitive State House race in Texas. This position will last through November 3rd, 2026. 

 

The Finance Director reports directly to the Campaign Manager. This is a full-time position based in San Antonio, TX.

 

Roles and Responsibilities 

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy in collaboration with the Campaign Manager. Monitor fundraising progress, adjust strategies as needed, and ensure the financial needs of the campaign are met. 

  • Own fundraising projections and cash flow in conjunction with the Campaign Manager. 

  • Work with the Deputy Finance Director to manage all aspects of the call time program with the candidate, including sending follow-up communications, tracking pledges, recording data, preparing thorough lists, and running a donor acknowledgement program. 

  • Oversee the expansion of existing donor databases by identifying, researching, and recruiting new donors. 

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute fundraising events. Ensure seamless event logistics, engaging programming, and meaningful donor interactions. 

  • Track donor data and other finance metrics; ensure accurate reporting. 

  • Manage the Deputy Finance Director and other finance staff/interns as applicable.

 

Qualifications 

  • Applicants must have at least 1-2 cycles as a Finance Director, Deputy Finance Director, and/or Finance Assistant. 

  • Strong knowledge of Numero, ActBlue, and Google Drive 

  • Strong organizational and time management skills. 

  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. 

  • An ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight timelines and an ability to prioritize multiple assignments. 

  • Willingness to work long hours, weekends, and holidays in 2026. 

  • A valid US driver’s license and access to reliable, insured transportation.

 

Salary and Benefits 

  • $5,000 per month
