The Texas Democratic Party is seeking an experienced fundraising professional to fill the position of Finance Director. The Finance Director is responsible for developing and executing the Party’s strategic fundraising plans, supervising both in-house and consultants, leading digital fundraising, and making continual progress towards larger organizational goals.
This full-time position will report directly to the Executive Director and will be an in-office position based in Austin, Texas.
Core Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee finance plan creation & implementation for the Texas Democratic Party;
Create and implement fundraising programs for varying donor constituencies;
Oversee Call Time Program, including the finance staff’s research on current and potential contributors, and manage the accurate and timely donor follow-up and acknowledgement;
Participate in regular meetings to update existing high value stakeholders and funders as to the status of the Texas Democratic Party’s work;
Oversee our finance team’s data entry process through NGP and in coordination with our other database systems;
Cultivate major donor relationships; maintain strong relationships with external partners; including Democratic elected officials, labor partners, and corporate lobby;
Partner with Operations Director in budget creation and maintenance;
Manage the finance and digital fundraising teams, and finance interns;
Work closely with Executive Director, Operations Director, and finance consultants to ensure appropriate processing of contributions; and adherence to compliance regulations; and
Other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications:
Applicants should have 4 or more years of fundraising experience, and a demonstrated history in political fundraising. Applicants should be creative, self-starters who can juggle a variety of tasks and personalities. Ideal applicants will have a strong familiarity with NGP, Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Drive.

Familiarity with ActBlue and NGP, and other political databases
Excellent writing skills and computer skills, especially Excel and Google Spreadsheets

Employment Type: Permanent, full-time, and will include some nights and weekends.
Reports To: Executive Director
Location: This is a full-time, in-person position based in Austin, TX. This role will require occasional statewide travel.
Salary and Benefits:$85,000. The Texas Democratic Party offers medical, vision, and dental insurance. Employee’s insurance premiums are paid fully by TDP.
