Ed Hermes is a community activist, progressive leader, and the leading candidate for Phoenix City Council in district 4. Ed’s campaign is looking for an organized and detail-oriented individual with a passion for progressive politics to join his team as Finance Director. This position is through Election Day in November and could extend to a potential run-off in mid-March. The ideal candidate has experience in donor research, staffing call time, event planning, and is capable of supervising interns and volunteers.
Responsibilities:
Implement the campaign’s fundraising plan and meet the set goals and timeline
Monitor and adjust the campaign’s fundraising plan in consultation with the campaign manager, as necessary
Staff call time with the candidate, including the compiling of donor research, generating call sheets, and completing professional and timely follow up
Plan and execute fundraising events
Oversee intern support of call time and fundraising events
Implement tracking and reporting to monitor progress toward meeting monthly and quarterly goals.
Coordinate PAC and donor outreach
Work with the candidate to recruit and maintain an aggressive finance committee
What We’re Looking For:
A person who is highly organized, detail oriented, competitive, and results-driven. Some background in sales is helpful but not necessary
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience with campaign finance software, call time management, and event planning are a significant plus
Willingness to work the sometimes irregular hours of political campaigns
Based in the Phoenix area or willing to relocate
