The Dave Min for Congress Campaign is hiring a Finance Director for a highly competitive, $8+ million front-line campaign that will be one of the top races in the country in 2026. We are ideally looking for someone with at least 1-2 cycles of experience at the Deputy Finance Director or Finance Assistant level. The role will be for two years–for the 2025-26 cycle–with significant room for leadership and career growth.
While we would expect that the Finance Director ends up living in the district–one of the most beautiful and temperate regions in the country in Orange County, California–we are open to remote telecommuting arrangements for the start of this cycle.
In Q1, we would like the incoming Finance Director to work closely with the outgoing Finance Director to become familiar with the campaign’s fundraising landscape, and receive warm introductions to elected officials and key donors in the district as well as around the country.
Roles and responsibilities include:
Work with the Chief of Staff and Congressmember to develop and execute an aggressive cycle fundraising plan.
In close coordination with our DC fundraiser and national fundraiser, plan, and manage events, primarily in California but also around the country.
Manage call time for the Congressmember (including in conjunction with call time staff).
Coordinate with the campaign’s digital fundraising team.
Oversee the expansion of existing donor databases by identifying, researching, and recruiting new donors.
Oversee accurate and timely donor follow up and acknowledgement.
Write or oversee drafting of high dollar direct mail solicitations and high dollar online/email solicitations.
Work with the Chief of Staff (and eventually, the Campaign Manager) to oversee finance staff and help create an organizational culture of fundraising.
Manage relationships with and meet with donors.
Staff & drive the principal to fundraising events as needed.
Additional duties as assigned by the Chief of Staff & Campaign Manager.
Qualifications include:
Applicants must have at least 1-2 cycles as a Finance Director, Deputy Finance Director and/or Finance Assistant.
Strong knowledge of NGP, ActBlue, and Google Drive
Strong organizational and time management skills, and strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Willingness to work long hours, weekends, and holidays in 2026.
A valid US driver’s license and access to reliable, insured transportation.
