Kathy Castor for Congress (FL-14) is seeking a full-time Finance Director. This senior-level position will lead the campaign’s fundraising strategy and execution, working on one of 2026’s most competitive Frontline Congressional races. The Finance Director will report to the Campaign Manager, and will work closely with the Congresswoman, staff, consultants, and partners. This position is full-time, based in Tampa, Florida and will require some travel.
Required Skills, Abilities, and Experience:
At least 1-2 cycles in federal campaign fundraising; experience as a Finance Director, Deputy Finance Director, or a Finance Assistant is strongly encouraged
Proficiency with NGP, ActBlue, and Google Suite, and a familiarity with other fundraising platforms, including DemocracyEngine, OATH, and Call Time AI, are highly preferred
Drive to hit and exceed ambitious metric goals, and ability to take feedback from managers
Strong interpersonal skills and exceptionally well organized, with attention to detail and process
Valid driver’s license, reliable access to a personal vehicle, internet, and a cellphone
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work long, irregular hours - including weekends
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and execute an aggressive, cycle-wide fundraising and finance plan in coordination with the Campaign Manager and Candidate to track incoming revenue
Oversee all aspects of the finance team, including consultants, junior staff, and interns; foster a strong organizational culture around fundraising
Manage Candidate’s call time; including all list preparation, follow-up, and staffing as needed
Plan and manage fundraising events in-state and nationally, including developing relationships with hosts, ensuring event build goals are met, staffing the Candidate, and managing all event logistics
Drive donor strategy: identify, research, and cultivate new donors while expanding and developing existing donor networks, especially around increased engagement with the overall campaign
Collaborate with Campaign Manager on high-dollar online/email solicitations and direct mail program
Ensure accurate tracking and reporting of donor data, fundraising metrics, and compliance records
Other duties as assigned by the Campaign Manager and Candidate
Compensation: The salary range for this position is $7,000 – $8,000/month, commensurate with experience. Staff will receive employer sponsored health insurance.
