JOB DESCRIPTION

Description

Working Class Heroes Fund is seeking a Finance Director to support working-class pro-labor candidates. A successful applicant will be a self-starter, detail-oriented and highly organized, with a proven record of leadership skills and innovation. 

 

WCHF was founded by labor leader and independent Senate candidate Dan Osborn.

 

Overview

 

The Finance Director will be a member of senior staff and work closely with the campaign leadership team and to draft and execute a primary fundraising plan while overseeing a small team of finance staff and volunteers.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Assist campaign leadership teams in developing and refining an aggressive finance plan.

  • Develop integrated fundraising campaigns between traditional and digital channels

  • Plan, schedule, and manage small-and large-scale fundraising events ranging from small social gatherings to large events with 100+ attendees.

  • Maintain accurate records in the finance database, and monitor for areas of improvement and/or enhanced information.

  • Write and/or oversee the creation of direct mail and online/email solicitations

 

Requirements

Qualified candidates will excel at working with candidates, consultants, vendors, senior staff and a wide variety of stakeholders. They will demonstrate:

  • Commitment to electing working class candidates to federal office, and alignment with the belief that more working class people deserve a seat at the table in Washington.

  • Minimum one cycle statewide, congressional, large municipal or legislative committee campaign finance director, deputy finance director or relevant development-related experience in the nonprofit sector.

  • Experience with NGP and other finance software.

  • Willing to relocate for the duration of the current campaign cycle.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills.

  • Work non-traditional hours, including nights and weekends as needed.
