Responsibilities Include:
Planning
Write and implement a fundraising plan
Accurately predict campaign revenue by quarter, month, and week, and communicate projections to the campaign manager
Fundraising
Maintain donor and key stakeholder relationships
Create a donor research plan to expand the donor base in Alaska and nationwide
Oversee candidate call time, including the preparation of call lists and donor follow-up
Plan fundraising events, including recruiting hosts, soliciting and acknowledging donors, and staffing the candidate in-person
Oversee donor acknowledgments
Develop and oversee direct mail fundraising programs
Staffing in-person meetings and events across the lower 48
Management
Coordinate with and oversee the national fundraising, digital fundraising, and compliance consultants
Help to manage the Candidate’s calendar, incoming scheduling requests, and fundraising needs
Compile and share performance reports with the Campaign Manager
Compliance
Review Campaign finance reports before they are filed
Oversee timely entry and maintenance of donor records, pledges, call time results, and event information.
Applicants must have:
Multiple cycles of prior campaign fundraising experience, including management of call time programs and fundraising events
Experience creating finance projections and contributing to cash flow discussions with campaign leadership
Flexibility to work long and irregular hours, including weekends and evenings, with some travel as needed
Applicants will be considered more competitive if they have:
Experience as a Finance Director on a congressional (or similarly sized) campaign
Familiarity with fundraising tools such as ActBlue, NGP, and Excel
Multiple cycles of experience assisting with cash flow projections
Experience in Alaska or with Alaskan politics
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
