A competitive Democratic Congressional campaign based in Southern California is seeking a ** Finance Director. **
The finance director will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive fundraising plan for the campaign. The Finance Director will report directly to the Campaign Manager.
The finance director will:
Develop and execute a finance plan to meet the needs of a six-figure budget
Collaborate with the consulting team, staff, and candidate
Capitalize on traditional fundraising sources such as call time, events, PAC contributions, digital, and direct mail, while devising new and unique revenue streams.
Work with digital and major gifts fundraising consultants, and coordinate with partner organizations.
Hire and manage a team of staff including but not limited to a call time manager, finance assistant(s), and interns.
Build in-state and national fundraising events program, and manage relationships with event hosts.
Track and report weekly fundraising numbers and maintain an accurate finance plan.
An ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
Previous campaign fundraising experience
Ability to work long hours or weekends
Experience planning fundraising events.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Commitment to community involvement and electing Democratic leaders
Experience with NGP/VAN and ActBlue
