JOB DESCRIPTION

Heidi Hall for Congress is seeking a finance director in the race to flip CA-03, an R+2 Congressional seat in northern and central California. Heidi is a 3rd term county supervisor in Nevada County, and worked as a public servant at the EPA and CA Water Resources Control Board.

 

This is a full time position based in the Sacramento / Grass Valley area. The Finance Director will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive fundraising plan for the campaign. The Finance Director will report directly to the Campaign Manager. Candidates applying for the Finance Director position should be organized, efficient, think quickly and creatively, have a good sense of humor, and be okay with long local and national travel.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a finance plan to meet the needs of a seven-figure budget in collaboration with consultants, staff, and the candidate.

  • Capitalize on traditional fundraising sources such as call time, events, PAC contributions, digital, and direct mail, while devising new and unique revenue streams.

  • Work with digital and major gifts fundraising consultants, and coordinate with partner organizations.

  • Hire and manage a team of staff including but not limited to a call time manager, finance assistant(s), and interns.

  • Build in-state and national fundraising events program, and manage relationships with event hosts.

  • Track and report weekly fundraising numbers and maintain an accurate finance plan.

 

Qualifications:

  • At least one cycle of experience fundraising on a Congressional race or equivalent.

  • Experience planning fundraising events.

  • Proficiency with NGP and ActBlue.

  • Willing to work extended hours, including nights and weekends, as needed. 

  • Access to a cell phone, laptop, a valid driver’s license, and reliable transportation.

  • Experience managing staff preferred.
