We’re seeking a strategic, entrepreneurial Finance Director to lead and scale the fundraising operation of what is expected to be one of the most closely watched red-to-blue House races in the country. With a competitive primary and a high-stakes general election ahead, we’re building a team capable of powering a winning campaign, and fundraising is at the core of that effort.
The Finance Director is a senior staff level position that will report to and work with the Campaign Manager to build and execute a multi-million dollar finance plan that engages stakeholders at the local, state, and national level. This is a full-time, in-person position based in Colorado.
The salary range is $6,500-$7,500 per month, commensurate with experience, plus a monthly healthcare stipend.
Primary Responsibilities
Manage the campaign’s fundraising operation by writing, reconciling, and tracking the full annual, cycle, quarterly, and monthly finance plan
Lead the campaign’s fundraising events program - plan, execute, and staff events
Manage the day-to-day operations of the finance team and program
Regularly staff the candidate at fundraisers and other political events in the district
Develop, maintain, and strengthen relationships with donors, partners, and committees
Ensure the finance department is regularly and accurately maintaining databases
Conduct research on prospective and existing donors
Willingness to support and staff call time, prep, follow-up, and scheduling as needed
Hire and supervise finance staff
Other duties as assigned, based on the needs of the campaign
Required Qualifications
Two cycles of campaign or political organization experience preferred, in a finance role for at least 1 of those cycles
Experience managing candidate call time and planning high-dollar fundraising events is preferred
Strong interpersonal skills, very well organized, and extremely detail-oriented
Professional demeanor and willingness to adapt to a changing environment
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work a campaign’s irregular hours, including some nights and weekends
A valid driver’s license and vehicle
